Best ways to unbreak my heart+++it's really hurting and I need to have a pity party with helpful hints to cope
it's my own damn fault because I believed, hoped, wished--and I should have not allowed myself to do that. I let my walls down, and this is what happens by being honest and unguarded.
Listen to some upbeat music, but not the same you used to listen to with him - that will only bring all the memories back in a rush.
Go for some long walks by yourself, and weigh the pros & cons of what you had, and what steps to take in the future.
Buy yourself something new. It's a gift to yourself.
Write down your feelings of why you got hurt, write your thoughts about how it went wrong, then burn the piece of paper. It's symbolic of ridding yourself of the bad memories of this.
As for easing the pain of a broken heart, I don't know. All I can say is that I know the pain of that which you speak.
