Addiction Behind You
Do you think there might be some truth behind this?
I find that nowadays you have to drink,smoke and be a drug and herrorin addict just be cool with your mates and be a cool person in general. I don't see the point though because in later life those who abuse thier bodies end up with wrinkles, bad skin and die young.
I do drink myself sometimes but a lot of people I know are labbeld as geeks just be cause they don't harm thier bodies with smoking or drug addiction etc....
Then again you only live once though.
I never drank, smoked (okay, I had a few cigs), or did drugs as a teenager. My friends never shunned me for it.
Of course, I was a band/drama nerd, and considered a bit of a goody two-shoes. ;p
I'm 29 now, and old enough to see some of the effects that smoking and drug use has had on my peers. My 29 year old face is smooth and wrinkle-free. I still get carded when I buy liquor. The smokers and heavy partiers already have crows feet, forehead wrinkles, pot bellies in some cases, and generally just look older. Some of them have "smoker's cough" already, and the ones who don't will develop it soon.
You only live once, so if you're smart, you'll take care of yourself.
