Which Tarzan movie is truest to the original book?
I'm just finishing Edgar Rice Burrough's Tarzan of the Apes and I absolutely love it. I first saw the Disney adaptation several years ago and, while it's a good movie, it still doesn't do the book justice. So, I'm asking now: Which of the many Tarzan movies stays closest to its source material?
Definitely Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. It returned to the original script after a few not so good movies which portrayed Tarzan as an idiot. In this film he is an intelligent, thinking human being like the novel portrays.
