Castle Forest Norman
Nottingham Castle is a focal point of the city, perched on a rock where you can inspect the metropolis below. This is hardly surprising, location was chosen by royalty for centuries for their subjects of investigation and admire the fields scanning.

Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle began to build a 'Ducal Mansion on the foundations of the castle 25 years later. Although there is not much of Nottingham Castle above the ground, the White House inherited from his great rock cut caves and cave passages.
The Mansion was too burned in 1831 but restored 34 years later that Nottingham Castle Museum to house the fine city and the decorative arts collections and exhibitions on the history and archeology.
For a new perspective on life in a castle, is seen through the eyes of his subjects at the Museum of Nottingham Life, Brewhouse Yard. Five cottages 17th century at the foot of Castle Rock City Life showcase over the past 300 years. Nose around a beautifully preserved Victorian house and class, look in a toy store in the 1920s and find sanctuary in a Second World War bomb shelter.
While immersed in ancient history, your visit would be complete without sampling two of the oldest pubs in England. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem and back to 1189AD was cut from the living rock on which stood the castle of Nottingham. Or support in the 13th century, Ye Olde Salutation Inn, a cozy medieval and the first stop on the ghost walks of the city.
The Castle site today oversees a rich mix of companies modern and restored ruins. Whether you are visiting for the day or the extension of entertainment in the night, guided by its residents and Royal plan your route of attack for the best view in town.
