November Madness or "Novemberitis" is the unofficial name psychologists have given a condition that frequently come across as every year a speed close. People feel under pressure to finish whatever they do before the holidays in December. With the end of the year in sight, they have multitude of tasks and projects they want to finalize.

Besides that, it seems we have a psychological compulsion for completion all aspects of our lives. People tend to see things as going in cycles from January 1 to December 31. So, if our relationships, jobs or finances are in trouble, we often use the end of the year, the deadline to settle things.

December is not necessarily a good time for people, especially those without family or friends, or those who have lost someone - it reminds them of what they lack. If you work until the eleventh hour before going on leave, the cold weather regimes at home for a day or two before leaving on vacation. You'll be much more receptive to the benefits of your all-important break.

Remind yourself you feel this way every year and you on it - it's just November.
