Is Echo Park by Michael Connelly a good book?
to those who've read it 
Yes it is but all books by Michael Connolly are great. He has written about 15 books with Harry Bosch as the protagonist - kind of a maverick detective in LA. When I first found a Michael Connolly Harry Bosch novel, I realized it was a series & I looked up the list & bought & read them in order. My suggestion is for you to do the same if you can and/or want to. Echo Park is kind of in the middle of the 1st 8 books. I picked up what I thought was a brand new one ( Trunk Music) before my vacation in October & didn't know it was printed in 1998 until I finished it!. So each one stands on its own but if you become intrigued with the character, it's best to follow them in order because there's a great development in his background & other characters in the series. He also writes books that do not feature Harry Bosch it'll tell you on the cover if it does. He is one of my top authors now. His stories are extremely interesting & never fail to deliver. I picked his book to read on my 9-10 hour flights & layovers to Israel. I definitely recommend him & his books.
