The King James Version of the Bible uses the Hebrew texts as a basis for his translation of the Old Testament, and Greek texts with the translations of the New Testament. She also refers to a secondary meaning in the text of the Latin Vulgate as well. The work of translation took place in England between 1603 and 1611, and the text was translated by 47 respected scientists from universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Westminster, working in various committees which were assigned to the translation of certain passages in the Bible. The Apocrypha was included in this translation, some groups accept these books in the context of Scripture, while others do not.

King James himself began his political life as Jacques VI King of Scotland. Her mother was Catholic, Mary, Queen of Scotland and his aunt was Queen Elizabeth the First. James became King of England in 1603 and was known as the King I. Jacques. Before the King James came to power in England, there were many conflicting versions of the Bible, most with footnotes to promote certain political positions or their ecclesiastical authors.

In light of this situation, it was decided by the King Jacques there should be a new English translation of the Bible which would resolve all the controversies surrounding the many other versions and this new version should follow the doctrine as put forward by the Church of England. He wanted a version where there was a minimum of marginal notes, except for the few necessary to help better explain the meaning of some words in Hebrew and Greek the words that English readers could understand. King James asked them to review what was known as the Bible of the bishop, and to compare this version several other competing versions to get the translation that best fit parameters of the King. The translation was completed in 1611, and press printing presses this year, too. Developed intense rivalries between the selected printer to print the Bible, the rights for printing This version of the Bible were finally purchased in 1900 by the University Press Cambridge.
