Since Napoleon Hill have we known about the power of positive thinking. And the latest buzzword, Appreciative Inquiry, has taken this principle in the world business again.
Power Appreciative Inquiry be applied to Internet marketing as well? You bet. In fact, the basic principles of analysis positive are considered standard practice by most internet marketers in the know. They just do not use general the label for what they do.
Appreciative Inquiry, developed by David Cooperrider in the 1980s, has recently become a growing presence in business and in nonprofit organizations and among consulting relationship. I find it curious that the term has not really arisen in Internet marketing circles, at least not explicitly.
Here is the basic principle of Appreciative Inquiry: Find out what works, appreciate, and no longer speak.
This principle has been practiced in one form or another and under one name or another for years. The 80/20 rule is really based on this principle. Psychotherapist Lawrence LeShan uses it to help people, especially cancer patients to live a happier life. But the thing is, it works for just about everything.
Here are some ways in which the principles of positive analysis can be (and were) applied in Internet marketing:
1. Testing / Split Testing. A common practice among writers and marketers alike, as well as specialists in AdWords, AdSense, and almost anything else. And then, once the performance testing results, they go with the version that has the best results. In writing circles, a better version is known as the "control". Marketers will use the control, while continuing to improve it - by means of testing new versions - until one of the new versions bat control and becomes the new control.
2. Strategic Marketing and Article Writing: If you publish your articles with http://ezinearticles.com, for example, you get almost instant feedback on what Articles cause people the most. You will also find how many people clicked on your resource box and how to get published.
Whether you provides extensive information to help you find which work best. And the next task? Do more of what works.
