Reviews of the cigarette manufacturers?
It is a sham case based on the book by John Grisham, The Runaway Jury and even if you did not read the book fair. A woman's husband died of lung cancer after smoking for 30 years. It focused complaint against the manufacturer of cigarettes to $ 1 billion. If you are the perfect juror and everything in your life is good, ie no family member has died because of cigarettes and you have not had bad experiences with them. If you were the only person in the jury and it was all up to you what would you do? I 'm against the award money to the widow because of one reason. Cigarette manufacturers force you to smoke. They dont Shove smoking in your mouth. Nicotine is highly addictive and smoking can cause lung cancer. Also companies advertise a lot and very young, but in the end they dont force you to smoke. They try to convince you, but you force it. This is my opinion. What's yours?
Personally, I am agree with you. Smoking is a choice we all do. If they publish the "statistics" or not, we all remember that first puff, when you was coughing to death, get light headed and sick to your stomach, yet, we went right away and kept blowing up what we werent worse. I am also a smoker. My last one vice that I havent stopped. If I can ever point in my life when I decide to stop, then, like other bad habits I'm broke, I'll put the smoke down and go "cold turkey" until I I finished with him. Regarding the trial, I see that as nothing more than someone jumping into the process of prosecution. If my half was overthrown by a car, it would be the same as my Chevrolet continues to produce a "death machine". It just doesn't fly. In terms of jury service, I do my absolute best to try to get MY point across that individual to make choices in life to do something he felt alright for him. As it is a class action or civil Suit, we wouldnt have a hung jury. We would need a majority vote and not unanimously. I need to convince at least 6 other jurors.
