A question about hispanics and learning English?
Ok, so many americans say that hispanics "refuse" to learn English. That to me is the first sign that you know nothing about what you are talking about because if you channel surf a little and stop on one of the spanish (language) channels you will see tons of advertisements on "Ingles sin barreras" and a bunch of other softwares and books, Cd's, ect ect on learning English. Also many hispanics that you think don't speak a word of English, actually do know some English, its only natural since its all around them. One other thing I have noticed as I have traveled around is that americans are very judgmental when it comes to people's accents whether it be an indian accent or anything else that doesn't sound "american" so how do you guys expect them to feel comfortable speaking a new language if they are just going to be made fun of for it? I think you guys make it easy for them to not want to learn English.
exactly i watch the spanish channels and i see those ads all the time but of course yall dumb racist folks never look there and just talk smack without knowin sh!t. they wanna learn but its hard when ur only around ppl who dont speak english nd i dnt see u ppl runnin out there to try and help them. takin classes to learn english costs money in case yall didn kno so ppl who dnt hav that much money and have kids to feed arent gonna spend money on that stuff wen they have otha priorities. also many hispanics who come here arent that well educated in their own language so its hard to learn english when they havent yet mastered spanish.
