Cassette Book Package
Trade in value for older truck with hail damage?
I have a 1995 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 pickup. I have a hard time estimating the trade in value on blue book and other sites because it has hail damage. It is a V-6, standard, cassette player, sliding rear window, tilt steering, AC, and power steering. No automatic anything. Just your basic package otherwise. Single cab. I recently replaced the clutch, but other than this there have been hardly any mechanical problems. It has hail damage that is sort of extensive. The hail stones were the size of softballs.So what might be the trade in value for a truck like this?
I forgot. The truck has approximately 130,000 miles.
For a truck of similar make, model , and condition (in SA TX area) trucks are valued between $900 and $1300.

If it has hail damage, remove about $500-$1000 the value of the truck, since that's what it'll cost to have some light to moderate hail damage.
If the hail damage is bad, well, it's going to reflect on the value of the truck pretty poorly.
