Mediation is probably one of the best mind clearing exercises going. It has to be done right and you have devote time to it. The problem with most people who try it give up too soon and do not spend enough time meditating. Personally I have only reached the ultimate state on a couple of times. It doesn't last long but it is the greatest feeling in the world. It is as if everything is just there and you feel so connected to the whole world. Hope you practice and achieve the essence of mediation.
