Michael York has a beautiful voice for reading the Psalms
In my imagination, I think that the psalms read by Michael York are read as for if ordered by King David. I can not say as if King David himself has been reading the Psalms, for it is not as precise as the first because reading is clearly an adjustment spoke eloquently of any listener, even King David. High praise, are these remarks, and this collection of psalms worth such praise.
The style of reading is clear, musical without music background but punctuated by notes of music between two readings. Imagination given by Michael York, and there is only praise for this new reading of the 150 psalms, comes through the rich and the readings that involve moving the listener. I had a set of these recordings for many years, given a set as a gift only to discover that they are only among the categories used for the sale. Unfortunately, there will be a moment where the game of May out of print. This is my second series of this collection.
As a note of comparison, it is a collection of readings from the King James Version New Testament, the Bible read by Gregory Peck. As Mr. Peck, Mr. York has a distinct voice which shows that it is a voice of remarkable merit and provides an understanding of what they read, without getting in the way of words or text. To say that is a man with a trained voice and excellent diction, as Mr. Gregory Peck, is, to my way of thinking and listening skills sharp.
I have a number of "registered" readings of biblical material, including Gregory Peck, Sir Laurence Olivier, Alexander Scourby, and out of print " Bible (the Old Testament King James Version), read by the number of actors with excellent voices. Michael York's reading of Psalms is certainly central to my collection of these audio recordings, and his voice is as distinctive and memorable of all, if not more. To hear him say: "Selah" and you know that there are both recording quality and interpretation.
For a complete reading the full version King James Psalms, we may be happy to own and listen to this record and distinguished understandable when Michael York reads memorably and so these wonderful words of Psalms.
